Senior center has variety of activities planned
Take a bus to see the Dodgers take on the Mets

The Simi Valley Senior Center and Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District present the following activities for seniors.

•A balance check will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. April 30 through June 4 at the center, 3900 Avenida Simi.

Participants will learn to improve their balance and participate in exercises involving key muscle groups that control centerofgravity and maintain balance while seated, standing and moving.

Participants should bring a light snack and bottled water, and also wear comfortable, supportive walking shoes.

They should also be able to walk unassisted for a short city block- canes are allowed.

There is a $5 fee per class.

•A trip to see the Dodgers vs. New York Mets game at Dodger Stadium is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.

The fee of $37 includes deluxe motorcoach and reserved seating behind the press box in the shade.
