Petal Pushers donate food to support local care and share

For more than 20 years, residents of Simi Valley have enjoyed the craftsmanship of Phil Medweb and his team at Petal Pushers for their bouquets and arrangements for all occasions.

Medweb said the company has succeeded because "it's about customer service. I have customers that have been coming back to me for many years."

Petal Pushers flowers are refrigerated to maximize freshness. Medweb also "wires" larger blooms, enabling them to stand tall for many days after ordinary flowers have wilted and drooped downward.

To keep the inventory fresh, flowers are delivered to the shop from around the world and local growers. The latest innovation is the "Rainbow Rose" imported from Holland. The flower features petals with all the colors of the rainbow.

The shop delivers flowers locally. Medweb provides free consultations for weddings, funerals, corporate gatherings and other significant events.

As longtime members of Simi Valley, Medweb and the team give back to the community. Petal Pushers recently offered flowers in trade for cans of food to support Care and Share's mission of feeding those in need. More than 100 customers and friends donated to this cause.

For more information, call Petal Pushers at (805) 582-1552 or visit the store at 1952 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley.
