Community council to hold meeting at IHOP

The Simi Valley Community Council will meet on Thursday, April 10 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the International House of Pancakes, 2525 Erringer Road, Simi Valley.

The guest speaker will be Cheryl Wronski, area governor for Toastmasters. Food items, especially peanut butter and cereal, will be collected for Care and Share.

Reservation and nomination forms for the President's Breakfast on June 14 will be distributed to members at the meeting. Completed forms due by May 8. The President's Breakfast honors the outstanding volunteers from each member organization or agency for their community service.

Established in the early 70s, the Simi Valley Community Council brings together agencies, organizations, service clubs, and individuals to coordinate the special events of each participating group, to foster volunteer service, and to educate its membership on activities in Simi Valley. New members are welcomed.
