Police officers, fire fighters to compete in charity football game

The Ventura County Police and Sheriff Pride Bowl Association will present Pride Bowl XXVI, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, March 29 at Newbury Park High School, 456 Reino Road, Newbury Park.

Tickets are $10 at the gate. Children under 8 are free.

Police officers and firefighters from Ventura County, the Badgers, will take on their counterparts from San Bernadino County, the Enforcers. Proceeds from the game

will benefit the Ventura County Special Olympics, the California Peace Officers Memorial Fund and to CHP officer Tony Pedeferri to help with his continuing rehabilitation efforts.

 

At halftime, the association will honor all the law enforcement personnel and county fire personnel who have died in the line of duty in Ventura County.
