U. of La Verne hosts info sessions

The University of La Verne at Moorpark College has scheduled two information sessions for prospective students from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 and Thurs., April 24 at Fountain Hall, Moorpark College, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.

The event will celebrate the gym's remodeling with new spring flooring, equipment, and a party room.

A ribbon cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for noon Tues., April 22.

Imagymnation Gymnastics is a non-competitive youth fitness and self-esteem focused gym and indoor playground for children which has been on Industrial Street since 1980.

In January, Imagymnation was acquired by Jeff and Vanessa Lulla who own and operate Fun & Fit Gymnastics Centers in Burbank and Santa Clarita, making Simi Valley their third location. They renamed the facility Fun & Fit Imagymnation Gymnastics.

Fun & Fit is run in a similar way to Imagymnation, offering gymnastics and youth fitness classes for tots, boys and girls, tumbling and cheerleading training, parties and special events.

The Fun & Fit philosophy is "to develop a child's self-esteem by providing success experience in a non-competitive environment."

Since 1991 hundreds of gymnastics centers internationally have been licensed to use Fun & Fit's teaching systems. Locally, Fun & Fit earned the "Best Kids Gymnastics" award from Los Angeles Magazine and Readers Choice Award from Santa Clarita Valley Living Magazine.

USA Gymnastics named both Jeff Lulla and Steve Greeley, Imagymnation founder, as "Business Leader of the Year" in 2006 and 2004 respectively.
