Vista Fundamental celebrates patriotism

Photos by WENDY PIERRO/Acorn Newspapers PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN- Third-grade students from Vista Fundamental School in Simi Valley, including Lauren Ober, 8, above, who dressed as the Statue of Liberty, give a patriotic music performance last Thursday. Five third-grade classes from the school teamed up to perform 11 songs about the history of the American flag and how each state joined the Union for a crowd of parents, teachers and local dignitaries. The kids dressed up to represent the many different faces of Americans.
