Artwork on the road

WENDY PIERRO/Acorn Newspapers FLOWER POWER- Simi resident Emma Topolcsik, 7, creates a colorful chalk drawing in the middle of Balcolm Canyon Road, which was closed to traffic last Saturday, Feb. 23 for the 2008 Tour of California. Topolcsik was there with her family and hundreds of other fans waiting for the bike race to pass through. It is customary for cycling fans to write on the road to cheer on their favorite team or cyclist.
