Work already underway for Rotary's '08 Gator Run
Race drew 550 participants in 2007

Preparations are underway for the 2008 Gator Run 5K/10K Run/ Walk presented by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset on Sunday, May 25 at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park.

The run is held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise 19th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival. Proceeds from the run will benefit the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation and other local organizations.

Last year's event had more than 550 participants ranging from elite runners to families and young children.

This year's event will include the addition of chip timing and a Health and Fitness Expo. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group category, with special prizes going to the top three male and female overall race winners.
