Rescue group receives large donation
      Canine Adoption and Rescue League of Ventura, a nonprofit organizations run almost entirely by volunteers, recently received a $500,000 grant from the Annenberg Foundation to support the center's capital campaign. The grant will be used to assist in providing shelter to dogs in need of homes.
