Preseason polls released for spring sports

The spring season for high school sports in the CIFSouthern Section is just around the corner.

Last week, preseason polls were released for baseball, softball and boys' volleyball. Several area teams made the initial lists.

In baseball, Thousand Oaks High was ranked fourth in Division I. Camarillo High is third in Division II, and Grace Brethren of Simi Valley was ranked No. 10 in the Division V poll.

Viewpoint of Calabasas is second in Division VII.

Moving on to softball, Camarillo earned a No. 6 ranking in Division I. In Division III, Oak Park is sixth and Oaks Christian is ninth.

Cornerstone Christian of Camarillo garnered a No. 3 ranking in the Division VII softball poll.

Lastly, in boys' volleyball, Oaks Christian is No. 1 in Division IV. Oak Park is ninth in the same division.

Viewpoint is the top-rated team in Division V.
