Baby-sitting certification class offered

Ventura College Community Education is sponsoring a babysitting certificate class through the American Red Cross for young people ages 11 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at Moorpark College.

The cost is $59 for registration plus an optional $25 materials fee payable to the instructor. Participants need to bring a sack lunch.

The training will provide participants with the information and skills necessary for safe and responsible child care, including skills in leadership, professionalism and emergency first aid.
