Low-cost vaccinations offered

A lowcost rabies vaccination clinic is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 at Fire Station No. 41, 1910 Church St., Simi Valley.

The vaccination is $5 per dog payable in cash only.

Dog licenses will also be available. Licenses are $20 for spayed or neutered dogs and $50 for unaltered dogs.

Checks and cash are accepted for licenses.

The county will also offer $40 vouchers to reduce the cost of spaying or neutering dogs.

To qualify for a voucher, the pet owner must be a Simi Valley resident, the dog must be licensed in Ventura County and unaltered, and the veterinarian's office where the procedure will take place must be in Ventura County.

The clinic is sponsored by the Ventura County Department of Animal Regulation and the VenturaSanta Barbara Veterinary Medical Association.
