Police foundation banquet honors, entertains

Photos by IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers OLDIE BUT GOODIE- Ron Kakebeen of Ronny & The Classics performs "I Got You, Babe" at "A Night At The Drive-In," the annual Simi Valley Police Foundation Banquet, held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Friday evening. The banquet is one of the largest fundraisers for the foundation, which was founded in 1994 to help better equip the police department.
LEADING THE WAY- Simi Valley Police Foundation president Bill Martin addresses the audience. This year the organization honored Planning Commission president and uber-volunteer Tim Shannon for his years of service to the group.
ROCKING OUT- Resident Lisa Cerquiera, center, twists and turns on the checkered dance floor set up inside the Reagan Library for the night's musical performance.
