Paratransit committee needs new members

Applications are being accepted to fill four positions on the city of Simi Valley's Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit Advisory Committee. Three members and one alternate position are open.

Applicants must be Simi residents, 18 years or older, have an ADAcertified disability or regularly use the city's ADA Paratransit/ Dial-A-Ride service, or be actively associated with a public or private agency providing services to the disabled.

Accepted applicants will be appointed by the City Council to serve a two-year term beginning July 1.

The seven-member committee meets quarterly to review public paratransit issues affecting individuals with diablities.

The deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.
