Autism training for teachers

Easter Seals Tri-Counties will host Autism Spectrum Disorder training for six weeks beginning Wednesday, Jan. 23.

The first four classes will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at Easter Seals offices on 10730 Henderson Road in Ventura.

The final two sessions require site visits to the Easter Seals Toddler Learning Center groups during the day. A stipend is provided to cover expenses for substitutes.

The training will cover how to include children with autism into preschool programs. This program is designed to assist childcare providers and early education teachers in integrating children with an autism diagnosis into their classrooms.
