Simi should harness the power of wind

Windmills in Simi Valley? What a great idea.

I would like to see those windmills built in Simi Valley similar to the ones you see on the way to Palm Springs. What a great green resource that would add to our city. It would save money on everyone's electric bills, especially in the summertime when we have those rolling blackouts and the electric bills skyrocket out of control.

The word "Simi" in Simi Valley is the Indian Chumash word for "windy." Why isn't the city taking advantage of our free and unlimited resources?

I would much rather see a mesmerizing hillside with windmills that add to our city than the overpriced homes being built on them sitting vacant because no one can afford them. Brenda Sprankel Simi Valley
