Skateboard league flying high

WENDY PIERRO/Acorn Newspapers ON THE FLIPSIDE- Sean Patton,14, of Simi Valley gets air at Skatelab during an all-night skateboarding event held Dec. 29 to benefit the National High School Skateboard Association, which was started last year. About 100 kids showed up for 12 hours of skateboarding from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The event also included music, contests, raffles, food and drinks. The upstart association features teams from Simi, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and Agoura.
