Musical looks at life of country western legend

Actors' Repertory Theatre of Simi will present the musical "Hank Williams-The Lost Highway" from Jan. 2 to Feb. 8 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave.

Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. This show is a musical biography of the rise and fall of the legendary singersongwriter who stands among the greatest innovators of American popular music.

Follow Williams through his lonely journey from backwoods Alabama to stardom at the Grand Ole Opry. The play features more than 20 songs, including "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Jambalaya" and "Hey, Good Lookin'." A special performance interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing will take place at 8 p.m. Fri., Jan. 9.

Tickets for all performances are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors and students, and $14 for children 12 and under.
