Bank gives $1,000 each to 22 county nonprofits
Wells Fargo awarded 22 Ventura County nonprofits $1,000 each in unsolicited contributions at the company's annual Community Support Breakfast held at Los Robles Greens Golf Course in Thousand Oaks recently.
Wells Fargo's contributions were up 18 percent from the previous year's annual gifting ceremony.
The following organizations received the grant money: Crisis Pregnancy Center, ALS- Amyothrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme, Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark, Channel Islands YMCA, Children's Alcohol Rehabilitation and Education, Comité Cultural Mexicano, El Centrito Family Learning Centers and FHS AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination).
Also, Interface Children Family Services, Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank, Mercy Ministries International Corp., Oxnard Police Activities League, Peace Through Music, Rescue Mission Alliance, Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship, Sarah's House, Simi Valley Police Foundation, The Wellness Community, and Triunfo YMCA and YAC Foundation.
