ALL AMERICAN—Sam Morrissette, 14, and Vista Fundamental School principal Denise Ferguson stand in front of a mural on the school's campus. Sam, a former student at Vista Fundamental, along with fellow Boy Scouts and LDS youth group members, painted the mural on the weekend of Sept. 11. Local muralist Jerry Foote of Cartoon Rooms by the Foote donated his talent and time to help with the project. Dr. Dandona, Dr. Curry and Dr. Oh Orthodontics sponsored the project and Home Depot donated supplies. The mural was part of Sam's ongoing work to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. According to Tracy Taylor, Eli never fails in his job to fetch the weekly paper. "That's because he gets a treat when he brings it in," he said.
