Apollo High teacher thanks Kiwanis

2008-11-28 / Letters

On behalf of the Minor Parent Program at Apollo High School, I would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley for their generous donation of $800 to the teen parent program.

The Kiwanis, with their key focus on Young Children Priority One and a commitment to the children of our community, have again come to the assistance and support of the teen parents, infants and toddlers in our program.

Children's safety, health and wellbeing are an important component of the Kiwanis' mission to serve our community. The Kiwanis Club is a very energetic and active service organization. Kiwanis have a history of supporting children in a wide range of areas, including schools, athletic organizations and medical programs.

I would also like to express a special thanks to Pam Smith for her hard work in coordinating this partnership between the Minor Parent Program and the Kiwanis.

Kiwanis Club of Simi Valley, thank you for your support and interest in teen parents and their babies and for truly making the children of Simi Valley your number one priority. Cristina R. Sullivan Simi Valley Sullivan is a teacher in the Minor Parent Program at Apollo High School
