Supervisor has only kept part of his word
We all applaud Supervisor Foy's efforts to make it easier for East County residents to access county services. The supervisor kept his word on this issue and deserves our thanks.
Yet the residents of The Knolls, Box Canyon, Lake Manor, Tierra Rejada Valley and Somis are concerned about how the supervisor intends to keep his word on another, more important issue.
Recently the supervisor spoke out, supporting Tierra Rejada residents in their desire to manage their own neighborhood land-use issues. However, when the supervisor met earlier with residents of The Knolls, Box Canyon and Lake Manor, we were told that the supervisor's hands were tied by the law and that such issues must be decided by all the county's residents.
Perhaps Supervisor Foy can clear up this paradox and state clearly where his support lies or explain to us why he supports two opposing policies when it comes to neighborhood integrity. Gary Selvaggio The Knolls
