The Simi Valley-Moorpark Republican Women Federated will host a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Fri., Nov. 21 at the Posada Royale Hotel, 1775 Madera Road, Simi Valley.

The guest speaker will be Michael Teilmann, executive director of the USOGreater Los Angeles area.

Teilmann spent more than 30 years in the Army, both active and reserve duty, and served in Vietnam, NATO Headquarters in Belgium and at the office of the secretary of defense at the Pentagon.

His USO history includes producing 10 overseas USO shows for combat troops in Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia, Korea and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for World USO and more than 100 USO shows for troops at stateside locations. He also produced a special televised Bob Hope USO Show during the Korean War.

The cost is $20, and reservations are due by Mon., Nov. 17.
