•Air Force Airman Karl D. Sager has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, and earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He is a 2003 graduate of Simi Valley High School and the son of Shirley Stuckey of Simi Valley and grandson of Doris Fish of Thousand Oaks.

•Army Reserve Pvt. Jennifer M. Perez has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

She is the sister of Joseph Perez of Simi Valley and a 2006 graduate of Monte Vista High School, Simi Valley.
