Simi Valley Town Center will kick off the holiday season with the annual two-day tree lighting spectacular Fri. and Sat., Nov. 14 and 15.

All events are free.

Discovery Church of Simi Valley will present a musical performance at 5 p.m. Nov. 14, supplemented by balloon twisters and other activities for children.

The tree lighting spectacular will be at 7 p.m., with an artificial snowfall and aerial laser show around the tree and the arrival of Santa Claus.

An encore treelighting performance will be at 8 p.m.

The Snow Princess will descend from her aerial abode and light up the night on the evening of Nov. 15 with a snowfall and laser light show. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. both days.

The live tree is 67 feet tall and is decorated with an estimated 10,000 lights and 10,000 ornaments.

The tree will remain up until around New Year's Eve. Artificial snow falls each night from Nov. 14 through Dec. 23.
