Church has no agenda, only looking to do good

2008-10-31 / Letters

I am writing this in response to the recent article about Cornerstone Church.

Children's Hunger Fund is an awesome ministry reaching the poorest people, many of them children, here in Southern California, around our country and around the world. The pictures we have all seen on TV of the Third World living conditions are real. CHF goes in and partners with the people in such places.

To think that our community can be part of the solution for so many people is a privilege we should not take lightly.

Caring for the poor is the heartbeat of who Cornerstone is. They have no hidden agenda. Cornerstone is not an enemy of our community but a vital part of it. The leadership and people of Cornerstone love our community and the people who live here.

The choice here is to leave a few acres of land open or have a huge impact in the world around us, loving and caring for the hurting, hopeless people in our world. David and Terry Harvey Simi Valley
