Contestants for either the Miss Ventura County and Miss Ventura County's Outstanding Teen Competition are required to attend an orientation at 6 p.m. Mon., Nov. 3 at the Community Christian Church, 216 Moorpark Ave, Moorpark.

Deadline for contestants is Dec 1. The competition is open to young women in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

In the pageant, contestants will be judged in private interview, talent, physical fitness (teens in athletic wear) and evening wear.

Age requirements are between 13 to 24 years old.
