City receives home loan funding
The city of Simi Valley was notified on Oct. 14 that it will receive $900,000 in CalHome Program Loan funding.
The funds will be made available in conjunction with the city's first-time homebuyer and home rehabilitation programs.
Anyone interested in applying for a first-time homebuyer loan or a home rehabilitation loan can download an application from www.simivalley.org or stop by the Development Services Building at 3855-A Alamo St.
CalHome funds are made available by Proposition 1C, approved by voters in 2006. The funds provide mortgage assistance and owner-occupied rehabilitation loans to low-income homebuyers and homeowners in the form of deferred payment loans.
