Resident thanks police, paramedics for getting her care she needed
      I want to emphasize how terrific and hardworking our police department and paramedics are here in Simi Valley. I was blessed that they found me on the evening of Tues., Oct. 14 when I experienced a severe diabetic reaction. I was en route back to my home after picking up some grocery items.

Kudos for being a good neighbor
      I want to say thanks to Steve Ochs for his letter in the Acorn (Oct. 24). I completely agree strongly and support his thoughts regarding tidiness in the neighborhood. Our current financial crisis and substantial drop in property values demands we, as homeowners, do everything possible to keep our homes and city looking great.

Children's Hunger Fund is an awesome ministry reaching the poorest people, many of them children, here in Southern California, around our country and around the world.
