Housing rights
      The Southern California Housing Rights Center will conduct a housing rights workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 6 at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. The free workshop will provide information on fair housing laws, tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities, rent increases, evictions, proper noticing and preventing housing discrimination.

City receives home loan funding
      The city of Simi Valley was notified on Oct. 14 that it will receive $900,000 in CalHome Program Loan funding. The funds will be made available in conjunction with the city's first-time homebuyer and home rehabilitation programs.
