IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers RED ALERT—First-grader Natalie Knight, 6, attaches her red ribbon to the Hollow Hills Elementary School fence on Tuesday morning for Red Ribbon Week, an annual districtwide celebration of being drug-free. Throughout the school day, Hollow Hills classrooms came out to the fence, one by one, to tie on their ribbons. The Red Ribbon campaign is now the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people.
