B'nai Emet is moving to a new location

Torah march set for Nov. 2

Congregation B'nai Emet will be moving to a new location and celebrating with a Torah march at 11:30 a.m. Sun., Nov. 2, starting at the congregation's old site at 4645 Industrial St., Ste. 2C, Simi Valley.

The Torahs will be carried six miles to the synagogue's new home at 9 West Bonita, Simi Valley.

There will be activities including a moon bounce, vendors and snack carts starting at 11:30 a.m. at the temple's new location.

The Torahs are scheduled to arrive at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Bonita site.

At that time the celebration will continue with hanging the mezuzot, a performance by the congregation's choir, and a dedication by Rabbi Michele Paskow, Cantor Michael Russ, and Earl Rosado, temple president.

Refreshments will be served.

The congregation will begin worshipping at the new site with a family service at 7 p.m. Fri., Nov. 7.
