Michael Scamaldo, 52, of Simi Valley was found deceased in a trash container at 1518 Patricia in Simi Valley at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 16.

According to police reports, the body was found by Simi Valley police officers responding to a welfare call of a subject found not breathing

There were no obvious signs of foul play.

Detectives are investigating the incident. The Ventura County coroner's office will also conduct an investigation to determine the cause of death.
