'The King & I' brings beauty to T.O. stage

      "The King and I" is the first of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein's musical plays to be based on a true story. Cabrillo Music Theatre has assembled a stellar cast in presenting this opulent show at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. The performance is as beautiful to see as it is to hear.

Art exhibit explores childhood imagination
      The Art Gallery at Moorpark College presents "Monsters in the Closet," a solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist Niku Kashef, through Nov. 15 at the gallery on campus, 7075 Campus Road. A reception for the artist will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 30 at the gallery.
