Be a good neighbor and keep your house tidy
When my wife and I first moved to Simi Valley about 14 years ago we thoughtlessly left our garbage cans out in public view and received a warning letting us know that the cans should be hidden or a citation might be issued. We have followed the rules ever since. We were actually pleased to have moved to a neighborhood with a priority on appearance.

Sojka wants to help businesses, families

Speaking out against Prop. 8
I can't believe that in this day and age there is actually a ballot measure solely geared to banning gay marriage. And it seems that a lot of the focus of the campaign geared to pass the ballot initiative is aimed at parents, grandparents and prospective parents.
