Nominate someone for a Lew Roth Award
The Simi Valley Education Foundation is accepting nominations for the Lew Roth Awards. Roth was the founder of the foundation. In his honor, the community, students, parents and certificated and classified staff nominate individuals for the awards.
Awards candidates must work or volunteer within the Simi Valley Unified School District and have given extraordinary service to the students.
The six awards categories are:
•Management: principals, assistant principals, counselors, school psychologists, district administrators
•Certificated: teachers, nurses, speech therapists
•Classified: accounting, clerical/secretarial, custodial/maintenance, food service, instructional aides, playground supervisors, purchasing/warehouse, transportation
•Volunteer: individual volunteer, volunteer members of school or community organizations
Two new categories added this year are Special Education for teachers or aides that work with special education students and Lifetime Achievement Award for individuals who are retiring or have an outstanding achievement.
