The Royal High School Vocal Music Department will hold its first concert of the year, "Sure on this Shining Night," at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 23 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1305 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. Doors open 7 p.m.

The various school choirs will present musical ensembles and solos.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $8 presale tickets available at the high school, and $6 students, seniors and children under 12.

Refreshments will be available before the concert.
