Centerpoint Church is hosting its inaugural Wheels for the World Wheelchair Drive in Simi Valley.

The church is collecting used manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes and crutches. The items are restored and sent to people in need.

To learn more about the project, visit the church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 18, at 2369 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. The event will include live music and refreshments.

Wheels for the World is a program of Joni and Friends International Disability Center.
