The Acorn wants to hear readers' money-saving tips

2008-10-17 / Community

Acorn readers throughout Simi Valley are well aware that Wall Street's woes will make for tougher times on Main Street this holiday season.

Experts say that no single government bailout package or oversight plan of our nation's corporate giants will fix this problem. It's up to everyday Americans to help put the economy back on track, one family budget at a time.

The good news is we're not in this alone. Everyone out there has a plan as to how they intend to stretch their dollar this holiday season. The Simi Valley Acorn wants to hear about those pennysaving plans and share them with the rest of the community.

Please let us know how you plan to save this holiday season. Perhaps it means barbecued hamburgers for Christmas dinner instead of turkey with all the trimmings. Maybe you won't be heading back east to visit Aunt Edna.

Please send your ideas on how to save this holiday season to simi@theacorn.com or mail your suggestions to the address listed on page 4.
