'NOT PEANUTS, ACORNS'—While on a company trip in Phuket, Thailand, Marina Crome of Simi Valley shares news from her hometown with an interested elephant named Timbo. WONDERS OF EGYPT—Ida Magitt of Simi Valley pauses in front of an Alabaster Sphinx in Memphis, an ancient capital of Egypt. While on a tour of Egypt's wonders, Magitt enjoyed learning the history of the valley of kings, queens, pyramids and temples. FINDING THEIR WAY—Local residents Nancy and Richard Parshall visit Eccleshall, Staffordshire, England, during a three-week self-guided tour of the country. In the background is Holy Trinity Church. CRUISIN'—Alyson Davis, 2, of Simi Valley carried her Acorn with her as she traveled from port to port, including Barbados, on the Emerald Princess ship. OUT TO THE BALLGAME—Payton and Baylor Tovar of Simi Valley took their Acorn with them to Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners. Their friend Jamie Burke is a catcher on the team.
