City looking to fill vacancies on small business committee
The city of Simi Valley is accepting applications to fill three nonChamber of Commerce vacancies on the city's Small Business Advisory Committee. These terms will each last through November 2010.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and own a business in Simi Valley. Members of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce are not eligible for these vacancies.
Committee members serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on citywide issues affecting businesses.
Current activities of the committee include oversight of the Shop Simi Valley First campaign and the 2008 Simi Valley Business Forum.
Committee meetings are usually held on the last Thursday of each month.
