Two of CLU's Presidential scholars hail from Simi

Michelle Kane and Katherine Stevenson, both of Simi Valley, were selected among the 19 Presidential Scholars of California Lutheran University at the start of the 2008-2009 year.
The program established in 1997 recognizes freshmen of outstanding academic caliber who embody the university's educational and social goals. The students receive scholarships ranging from $14,500 to full tuition for four years.
The recipients have an average high school grade point average of 4.35 and average scores of 1346 on the critical reading and math sections of the SAT or 30 on the ACT.
