Fundraiser for rescue pet adoption agency is tomorrow

Simi Valley Animal Rescue Volunteers hosts the third annual Wag 'N' Walk from 8 to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, Sat., Sept. 27 at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.

Walkers are invited to bring their dogs and family members to this event. Walkers will secure donations from their sponsors prior to the walk.

The event will include prizes for the top fundraising walkers, dog costume contest, silent auction, and gift bags for the walkers who raise a minimum of $100 in donations.

Animal Rescue Volunteers rescues sick, injured, neglected and abused animals and provides them with medical care, socialization and training in foster homes until these animals are adopted out. The organization is entirely funded by donations.

All monies raised from Wag 'N Walk directly benefit local unwanted shelter animals.
