Applications are being accepted for positions on the Youth Employment Service Advisory Board, which promotes the hiring of local youth, assists youths in understanding employer expectations, and acts as an advisory body to the City Council on matters pertaining to youth employment.

The following board positions are open: one local business representative, two local governmental agencies representatives, one high school student representative and two alternate memberatlarge representatives.

Board members will serve for two years beginning Dec. 1.

Applicants are also sought to fill the following positions for partial terms, from Dec. 1 through Nov. 30, 2009: one high school student representative and one alternate memberatlarge representative.

The board meets at 8:15 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month September through June in the community room at City Hall.
