This year De Luna entered the hospital for a surgical procedure to remove a tumor that was growing in her spine and as a result of her surgery she has been left paralyzed from the neck down. Simi Valley and Moorpark Leo Clubs donated $500 to support her family during her long road to recovery. "She still creates warmness and laughter for everyone," said Elvie Marfil, a Lions Club member.
