A Simi Valley resident was the victim of a hit-and-run the evening of Sept. 16.

Joseph Koncel, 54, was riding his motorcycle south on Kuehner Drive when a car turning left from Almar Street struck him, ejecting him from the motorcycle.

Koncel was treated for a fractured knee and wrist at Simi Valley Hospital.

The Simi Valley Police Department's traffic division is investigating the incident. The vehicle that hit Koncel is described as a lightcolored passenger wagon similar to a Dodge Magnum. Officers believe there will be light to moderate damage on the driver's side, including a missing side window, which shattered in the collision.
