Actor's Repertory Theatre of Simi is holding auditions for its upcoming production of the Ventura County premiere of "It's a Wonderful Life: the Musical."

All roles are open for this musical version of the Frank Capra film about George Bailey, the dreamer, who helps his guardian angel Clarence earn his wings.

The music is by Joe Raposo with lyrics and book by Sheldon Harnick.

Auditions are by appointment only and will be held tomorrow, Sat., Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sun., Sept. 21 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley.

Actors should bring appropriately prepared sheet music or an instrumental CD and perform a song of a similar musical genre. Callbacks and the dance portion of the auditions will be Sun., Sept. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m.

All singing roles require strong mid-range vocals.

The cast also includes a large dancing and singing ensemble with actors ages 16 to 60, who may double in character roles.
