Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10049 Simi Valley and the Ladies Auxiliary will host the annual National Prisoner of War-Missing in Action program Sat., Sept. 27 at the Rancho Tapo Community Park Veterans Plaza, 3700 Avenida Simi, Simi Valley.

Check in time is 9 a.m. for exPOWs and family members of MIAs. The program begins at 10 a.m.

Following the program, the VFW will serve lunch at 1 p.m. at the post, 4242 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. A donation of $6 per person for lunch is requested.

The purpose of the event is to educate the community about POWs and MIAs. A highlight of the program will be the Missing Man Table where Vietnam veterans will pay tribute to the POW-MIAs of all wars by placing a service hat on the table and rendering a salute.

The public is invited to attend.
