The National Alliance on Mental Illness Ventura County is offering a free, 12week Family to Family course from 6:30 to 9 p.m. starting Mon., Sept. 15 at the OneSpirit Center for Conscious Living, 31756 Erringer Road, Simi Valley.

The course is for family members, partners and friends of individuals with major depression, bipolar disorder (manic depression), schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, and cooccurring brain disorders and addictive disorders.

The course is taught by a team of trained NAMI family member volunteers who have personal experience with a loved one struggling with one of these brain disorders.
