Police officers, CHP officers and sheriff's deputies made 104 arrests of drivers suspected of driving under the influence in Ventura County during the fourday Labor Day weekend crackdown that ended at midnight Monday.

This is 12 percent above last year's total of 88 during the same long weekend and down from 120 during this year's Memorial Day weekend.

DUI suspects killed no one during these times.

The multijurisdictional police crackdown on impaired driving will take to the streets again starting Dec. 12 for a 19-day winter holiday crackdown.

The California Office of Traffic Safety funds the effort through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said Senior Officer Humberto Jimenez of the Oxnard Police Department.
